My considered approach and careful attention to detail ensure that the translations I produce are accurate, consistent and faithful versions of the original source texts. I always qualify the end purpose of each document to guarantee that every translation has the desired dynamic effect on the target readership.
Why am I able to offer both technical and creative marketing translations?
A wealth of experience means that I am just as comfortable translating creative product marketing content as I am translating complex technical engineering texts. These are very different beasts; whilst technical texts require a sound knowledge of the subject matter in order to ensure absolute accuracy and to avoid any ambiguity, marketing translation, transcreation and copywriting texts allow me to adopt a more creative approach. I devote as much care and attention to translating both types of document, whether they are smaller documents or larger-volume texts.
For technical texts, I undertake extensive research into the subject areas that I cover, and share a genuine interest in many of these areas outside of my professional projects.
Creative texts are produced according to a provided brief containing (where possible) the topic, target audience, house style/voice guidelines, desired pragmatic effect, medium, length, and where the text fits into your brand or product’s marketing plan. Due to the subjective nature of marketing translations, I’m always happy to work closely with the client’s editorial team to provide additional revisions as needed to ensure the document is perfect for purpose.
